About This Event
Join us for a discussion of The Mountains Sing by Nguyen Phan Que Mai. Multi-generational take of the Tran family set against the backdrop of the Vietnam War. Vivid and steeped in the language and traditions of Vietnam, the book brings to life the human costs of the conflict from the point of view of the Vietnamese people themselves, while showing the true power of kindness and hope. A perfect follow up to The Women (our Nov. selection), which brings to life the Vietnam War from an American perspective. The Monday Morning bookclub meets in the Library Conference Room, and new members are welcome at any time. Sign up for our newsletter.

About Los Gatos Library
The "new" Los Gatos Library opened right after we moved here, but now that's quite awhile ago. Parking is easy and there is a bright kids' area set up for little ones to read and play, and private rooms you can reserve ahead if you need a quiet spot to work.
